Demand increases across tuition network
We are delighted to announce that, after the negative impact of the Covid pandemic on the tutoring market, our centres are back, fully operational and thriving, with several busier than they ever were before.
Despite general concerns over cost of living increases, parents are realising that they still need to get extra support for their kids following disruption to their education over the last two years. But it's not just subjects like English and maths that have affected students. Many kids are battling to get back into the school routine and to cope with large class sizes, leading to an all-time high of mental health issues in our classrooms.
Kirsty, who launched MagiKats in Thornton during the first wave of the pandemic commented, “Many children have SEN, and as a SENCO myself, I recognise that going back into the classroom full time has been a real challenge for them. Add to that the difficulties they experienced with learning online and several of them are many months, if not years, away from where they need to be. Being able to offer an individual approach to tuition in small groups at MagiKats has meant that I can rebuild their confidence so they can cope more easily at school and also help fill in those gaps that have developed over the last couple of years.”
Fay launched her business just as the kids went back to school in September 2020. She has also noticed a significant challenge for a lot of her students as they also struggle to cope, both academically and socially. “Many parents are opting to home educate their children because of their child’s anxiety around learning in school” comments Fay. “My aim at MagiKats Newquay and Truro is to help transition them back into school through offering bespoke learning in our small groups and the consistent support of my highly qualified and trained mentors.”
Although there is no doubt that parents have pressure on their purses, now even more than ever, it is satisfying to see that so many of them are wanting to take proactive action to support their kids and get their learning back on track. All MagiKats centres are set up in the same way, with small group tuition and individual learning programmes, so why not investigate enrolling your child in one today? And if there's not one in your area, why not look into opening one?
